You Can’t Change Reality

What’s Happening:  “MSNBC conveniently cropped out U.S. Muslim leader, Louis Farrakhan, at Aretha Franklin’s 8-hour funeral extravaganza. Sitting next to Al Sharpton, former President Bill Clinton,  and Jesse Jackson was vociferous Jew-hater Farrakhan…however, Franklin’s friend (https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/msnbc-posts-disastrous-tweet-aretha-franklin-attendees-blatantly-removes-farrakhan-image/?ff_source=Email&ff_medium=CTBreaking&ff_campaign=breaking&ff_content=conservative-tribune). Quoting the article, ‘And as for the media (ABC also cropped out Farrakhan as Twitchy noted), editing Farrakhan out of the picture does no favor to Franklin or the truth.’”

Knee-Jerk Response:  “Sounds like Fake News.”

Biblical Response:  “Kind of…at least news without an inconvenient reality. The media would have done better to explain him away than to edit him out. Actually, they did neither…as the live stream reveals.”’

“Christians? Christendom is full of inconvenient truths…like ‘The wages of sin is death’ (Rom. 3:23) or ‘Bad company corrupts good morals’ (1 Cor. 15:33 NASU)…or my personal (and relevant) favorite: ‘You can’t heal a wound by saying it’s not there…’ (Jer. 6:14 TLB).”

Here’s a Prayer You Can Pray:  “Heavenly Father, help us all to deal in reality, treating others the way they are, not the way we want them to be; in Jesus’ Name, amen.”
